My new classroom

My corner, with the desk I built. A definite Olympic theme at the moment.

From the front door aimed at the middle of the room.
From the front door toward my corner.

From the corner opposite the front door.

You can see just the edge of the door on the far left - the desk on the right corner is the teacher's. She made that cool flag quilt :)

View out the door.

Our classroom is on the right. We're going to need decent umbrellas when it rains...

The room is all open like that? No desks? How do you get students and what will they do the time they are with you?

Just curious.

We will service kids from Kindergarten thru 8th grade that get referred to us by the Mental Health dept. Since we don't know who those kids are yet (they are being assessed as to whether they can stay in regular ed or not), we haven't set much up in the room. We will probably have multi-grade levels at the same time.

So, we're waiting to see what we get before we move a bunch of stuff around.
