Pretty Nice Campus

This is a university with a lot of history - since 1876, it's the second oldest university in our state.
I took photos of the places Diana will probably be most often - the Library, the Business building, and Panda Express...

Here's a nice wikipedia article with a lot of good info: U of O - Go DUCKS! (Oh yeah - that's how all the presenters at our IntroDUCKtion ended their speeches).

Diana will be able to sign up for free football & basketball tickets as well. The bus system is free to all students for the entire county - which means she can go from the mountains to the coast. Pretty cool.

There's also a Subway on campus, and a bunch of little coffee shops. The bookstore has all the art supplies she can eat - I think she'll be there a lot too.

Finally, Diana was recognized by about 12 people from the MTV show. It was kind of funny... they'd say, "This might sound stupid, but were you on MADE?"

Eventually, if someone said, "Excuse me..." Diana would just say, "Yes, I was on MADE." Then they'd get all excited, take photos of her with their cellphones, chat with her a bit about it (especially whether or not she & Trae were still in touch), and stuff like that. My favorite were the parents that got all excited - ha.

I have been reading freshman survival items on the web. Most of them say students feel like a small fish in a huge pond, getting none of the recognition that they got in HS.

If you were on MADE? not so much.

it is pretty cool that she got recognized!!! she has turned into quite a beauty!! by the way i have an outfit inspired by diana.....its a simple white baby doll over jacket (it has 4 buttons right on my chest and flares down) than a grey tank top under than some really nice jeans and omgh heels. I dont know how she did it but i hardly could last....i eventually switched to flip-flops....but it was diana inspired!!! i thought i would never say that

I think the University looks really cool. I like the places you have to go and the art supplies sound yummy?

Diana will have a great time learning more and more about the Oregon campus. Although it may seem huge as a freshman, she will come to find out there are incredible opportunities and adventures out there. Lots of fun ahead... I am excited for her. As for the huge campus, Jenna's program is very small, she knows all her professors very well and in the Marine Biology program, every day is a field trip...Jenna will be back on campus in the Winter term so she will probably see Diana in Knight Library where she works. She is currently going to school in Charleston at Oregon's coastal research facility in Charleston.

PS - Sorry about the repetition in the comment! I just got back from a 1200 mile road trip with my 85 year old father and I am all worn out...
